Looks like fans of Bill Hader's Saturday Night Live days are going to be thrilled, because The Hollywood Reporter notes that the famed actor, who spent eight years as a key player on the show, is returning to host this coming Oct. 11.

During his time on the NBC show, Hader built up a massive fan base and found himself holding two Emmy nominations. When he left the show following it's 38th season, he took with him the many impersonations and characters we grew to love over his years, including, Alan Alda, Vincent Price, Al Pacino and, of course, Stefon.

He'll be taking the host spot to promote his new film The Skeleton Twins, which also stars former SNL star Kristen Wiig. Perhaps another fan favorite will make an appearance?

Hader's episode will feature musical guest Hozier, who garnered notice from his single "Take Me to Church."

Naturally, the news of Hader's return leaves many wondering (and hoping) if he'll reprise his oh, so beloved role of Stefon on Weekend Update. Of course, if that were to happen, we can only pray that Seth Meyers leaves behind his Late Night spot for just one night to make an entrance during the segment. Lest we forget, the two did get married on their last day...

Hader coming back is one of the many stories popping up around SNL's upcoming season 40. Following the various hiring and firing of a number of employees, the show recently announced that Chris Pratt will open up season 40 alongside Ariana Grande.
