The personal doctor that operated on Joan Rivers when she stopped breathing has been revealed has Dr. Gwen Korovin, who treats the biggest names in entertainment.

According to TMZ, Dr. Korovin was not authorized to practice medicine at Yorkville Endoscopy center. The site revealed that CNN reported the celebrity doctor took a selfie while performing a biopsy on the Fashion Police star.

Dr. Korovin's patient list includes, Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Hugh Jackman, John Mayer, and Brooke Shields. In the photo below you can see that the doctor is proud of her celebrity clients hanging on the wall behind her as she takes a moment for a quick pose.

In past interviews, the celebrity doctor claimed to bring a black bag along with her to treat A-list stars in their dressing rooms which was referred to "on-the-spot treatment."

Hollywood Take revealed that Broadway stars, like Nathan Lane, Kristin Chenoweth and Patty LuPone rely on Joan's personal doc when they need to be treated.

"Dr. Korovin is a name that I have been hearing ever since I started working professionally in 2005," Tony-winner Steve Kazee shared in 2013. "She was extremely knowledgeable, kind, supportive, and, most of all, cautious."

Dr. Gwen Korovin said this about her celebrity patients: "There's an emotional side to any doctor's visit. People are scared if there's a chance that they can't do what they want to do, love to do, are trained to do and get paid to do. What I love about my job is helping my patients - all of them."

Yorkville's legal problems may be just getting started. Medical Director Lawrence Cohen has already stepped down and resigned from the clinic after allowing Joan Rivers' ENT to perform the fatal unplanned biopsy. We previously reported that Joan's daughter, Melissa Rivers is reportedly thinking about pressing charges against Yorkville.

"It's become very clear to Melissa and experts she has spoken to that her mother didn't have to die," a source revealed to Radar Online. "This was a routine endoscopy that went wrong. ... Melissa will await the outcome of the official medical investigation and then absolutely file the lawsuits. She won't be doing it for the money. She wants to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else."

TMZ tried to reach out to Doctor Korovin's office, they were told: "We do not comment on matters related to patients."
