Nick Lachey Returning to Music: Releasing Fourth Solo Album

Nick Lachey has announced his fourth solo album, Soundtrack of My Life, to be released on Nov. 11. Songs from popular movie soundtracks will be featured on the album.

For all of our 90's kids out there, you can attest to the multi-platinum selling boy band 98 Degrees, of which Lachey was the lead singer. The band included Lachey's brother Drew, Justin Jeffre and Jeff Timmons. They didn't hit real success until their second album 98 Degrees and Rising which sold over 10 million records.

In 2006 Lachey started his solo career and released What's Left of Me, which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200. The first single from the album, "What's Left of Me" became a hit and reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100. The music video was where he met MTV VJ, Vanessa Minnillo.

In 2007 he began working on his third solo album, but it was announced that Jive Records has put the record on hold. In June 2010 Lachey announces that he was no longer with Jive Records.

Nick Lachey has been a busy man these past couple of years, he's husband to Vanessa Minnillo Lachey, father to son Camden who just turned 2-years-old and he's now expecting a baby girl, due in a few months!

Lachey told CBS News back in April about making his fourth solo album.

"It's an album of all movie songs that were meaningful to me growing up," he said. "Whether it was a song that moved me or a song that takes me back to a memory of a move. So it's more of a personal album in that sense. These are all memoires that my fans grew up with as well. The hope is that it will take us all back to take a little walk down memory lane."
