'Grey's Anatomy' Season 11 Spoilers- Cast Goes For An 'Orange Is The New Black' Look In Ellen Pompeo's New Twitter Pic

Is Grey's Anatomy about to go Orange is the New Black? Not likely, but star of the medical drama Ellen Pompeo did pay homage to the Netflix series by posting a picture of herself along with her fellow cast members dressed in their blue scrubs looking pretty bad ass, if you ask us. Pompeo even dons some cornrows while costar Callie (Sara Ramirez) is giving off some serious OINTB Alex Vause vibes with her eye makeup and chunky black glasses.

The star tweeted out the picture with the caption, "Blue is the new black #8daystillgreys #greysanatomy."

We seriously can't wait until the new season stars next Thursday!!! We can barely contain our excitement.

Fellow ABC and TGIT (Thank God It's Thursday) member Kerry Washington from Scandal retweeted Pompeo's picture, writing, "UH. MAY. ZING. #TGIT." Grey's will be joining shows Scandal and How To Get Away With Murder for the incredible new Thursday night lineup.

At the end of season 10 of Grey's, Meredith Grey was left with a tough decision to make, would she follow her husband Derek Shepherd to Washington D.C. and leave her life in Seattle, or would she stay put?

Pompeo addressed the topic during a panel earlier this month. "We can't move to DC because Meredith would find out her mother is alive and she would be pissed!" the star joked about her mother, who is played actress Kate Burton, who is now starring on Scandal. "

As far as what fans can expect this season, Pompeo gives a few hints and says that viewers won't be disappointed.

"We are doing a lot of flashback stuff," the actress explained. "Very challenging... A lot of people say how can you stay on a show 11 years. After 11 seasons you have to stay so alive and present. You can't disappoint the audience. You have to bring it."

The news season of Grey's will premiere on September 25 at 8 pm on ABC.
