After Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Jeopardy and Family Feud, ABC is returning to the quiz show genre with a whole new series. Producer Mark Burnett, who became a household name with Survivor, and Mike Darnell, the President of Unscripted Television at Warner Bros., have teamed up for 500 Questions.

Deadline has announced that the television network has given a straight-to-series order for the upcoming reality program. Audiences may recognize Burnett and Darnell having worked together on Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? With 500 Questions as a working title, this quiz show promises to break new ground.

Darnell teases, "I think we have finally cracked it with 500 Questions, and with Mark and his team on board, I have no doubt this is going to be the next international game show hit."

Described as a "genius game show," a contestant's knowledge will be tested in front of an audience with a series of questions. Participants with the winning score will move on the next episode. The entrant will bask in the rewards after answering correctly all 500 questions.

Burnett describes the project as "the first network game show to combine what audiences love about serialized unscripted hits with a huge game show event. It has ongoing characters and huge stakes."

How many contestants do you think will make it to 500? How many are most likely to get the first question wrong? We will have to wait and see when the premiere finally airs.

Sometime in 2015, audiences will watch Mark Burnett and Mike Darnell's game-changing quiz show, 500 Questions. Readers, do you think you're smart enough to answer that many questions correctly?
