It seems that the sport of boxing is back on the up, and most noteably the heavyweight divison. Two names stand out in particular. Wladimir Klitschko the heavyweight champion, and Anthony Joshua, perhaps the most exciting prospect the sport has ever seen. Despite being at the opposite end of their careers, many hoped the pair could one day fight, but it seems unlikely that they'll ever have a feud, with a friendship of sorts blossoming. Wladimir has sparred with AJ, and now praised him, while slating David Haye, Tyson Fury, Dereck Chisora, Audley Harrison and David Price. What did the champ have to say?

Wladimir took to British boxing show Ringside, and during his live telephone call he delivered a stunning statement about the prospect tipped to take his throne.

"I think that Joshua has one of the greatest potentials ever, ever seen in any fighter in the heavyweight division. He has quality. Olympic champion, which says all about his technical side as a boxerHe has strength, he has the desire to learn. There is no feeling of him being arrogant by any means. He was raised by his parents in a very good way. He's not the type of fighter that we got used to from the same country as Tyson Fury, Dereck Chisora, David Haye, so he's a totally different fighter. He's something that British people are going to look up to in boxing. That's my vision of Anthony Joshua and his future."

Considering Wlad has seen it all, and how now worked with AJ, this is a stunning statement. Everybody is starting to believe the hype, and when the champion has these words to say, it's easy to see why AJ will be a heavyweight world champion.
