'Agent Carter' PHOTOS: Hayley Atwell Shares Behind-The-Scenes Pics As Peggy Carter!

While Marvel Comics fans are anxiously awaiting for the season premiere of Marvel's Agent Carter on ABC, expectations are high with the upcoming ABC spy series. From her official Twitter account, actress Hayley Atwell has shared a bunch of behind-the-scenes photos as the makeup team brings Peggy Carter to life.

As we mentioned here, the first season takes place after Captain America: The First Avenger. The first episode follows Peggy (Atwell) as she has returned to the states after World War II. Just because the ex-solider isn't in the battlefield anymore, that doesn't mean she's ready to give up serving her country. We also reported that Carter will also be showing up in the second season premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Because we know that production has already started in September, the cast and crew is working nonstop on the eight-episode story arc. Because the show is also a period piece, the wardrobe department has the find the right clothing to capture the '40s look. With the photo of iconic actress Gene Tierney used as reference, Carter's wig will be designed to match that hairstyle.

Atwell tweets, "First costume fitting. Handmade hats and buttons imported from Paris. 1946 tailored dresses and suits. So elegant. What a great team."
