Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are speaking out today on their parenting style after the Keeping Up With The Kardashians  star's former lover Reggie Bush created controversy when he said he wasn't opposed to "harshly" disciplining his children. According to new report, the newlyweds have already talked about how they plan to keep their daughter North West in check, and that they have made a pact that it won't include any spanking.

According to RadarOnline, a source close to the couple explained that they would never lay their hands on North as a way to punish her.

"Kim and Kanye decide before North was born there would be no spanking, ever," the insider revealed to the news site. "It's not how they want to raise their daughter. As North gets older, and when she acts up, there will be time outs, taking away a favorite toy, but absolutely no physical discipline."

The Kardashian clan doesn't believe in spanking as Kim's sister Kourtney also believes that patience and love are the best way to deal with a child's tantrums.

"Kim's older sister Kourtney doesn't spank her kids, and they are very well behaved," the source explained. "North will be given clear boundaries that a child needs, and there will be consequences that won't involve any hitting or spanking. It's all about rewarding the positive behavior, and dealing with the naughty tantrums with patience and love."

Kim has a very different parenting technique then her former flame Reggie Bush who explained last week that he "definitely will use his best judgment to discipline [his daughter] depending on the situation," and that it doesn't rule out spankings. Bush also said he "definitely will try to obviously not leave bruises," on his daughter after disciplining her.

However, Kim seems like much more of a nurturer as she claims she would never hit her daughter.
