New details have emerged surrounding the death of former Tennessee Titans kicker Rob Bironas, who was killed when his SUV crashed into a line of trees on Saturday night.

USA Today is reporting that, just after the crash, a woman called 911 to alert police of the incident.

During the call, which was placed at 11:03 p.m., she started explaining the situation to the operator and then handed the phone to another woman, who recalled the events of the crash more fully.

"He is dangerous, he is drunk or something. He tried to start a fight with us,'' the second woman said. "My husband ran down there to see what is going on. I just want to tell the police there is something wrong with him. He is dangerous, he is drunk or he is on drugs. There is something wrong with him. He gave us a mean look. We don't even know him, and he tried to run us off the road. We let him go on past us because he was trying to run me off the road and we don't know who he was."

The next morning, the woman and her husband met with police to describe the events of the crash in full detail.

Don Aaron, the spokesman for the Metro police, revealed some of those details to USA Today.

"They said the driver swerved back, gave them a dirty look and got behind them and was behind them at the intersection on Franklin and Battery,'' Aaron told the newspaper. "At the stoplight of Franklin and Battery, they said the white SUV was revving its engine behind them."

At that point, Aaron said, the couple pulled over to let the SUV pass.

"Then the white SUV accelerated away at a high rate of speed,'' Aaron said. "They paused a few moments, continued traveling on Battery Lane and came upon the crash."

Police revealed that there was no trace of alcohol at the scene, but an autopsy has been conducted, and toxicology reports will be available in the coming weeks.
