Autumn is here and twin sister act, Nalani & Sarina stopped by MStars News: Studio A to exclusively talk about what they wear while performing songs from their new album Lessons Learned, they're fall fashion must haves and the right make-up to rock from day-to-night.
The classically trained duo revealed that their style isn't so pink and clean and despite carrying a busy schedule performing in various places they always find time to switch up their styles often, "We're not very girly girl. We're kind of casual, we like to mix a little bit of edginess to our style. Kind of laid back, but still put together." Nalani said.
Sarina added that their day and night look often changes when they're looking for that "pop" effect, "With make-up, doing like a pop lip at night something we always try to go for. During the day time, maybe a subdued with a paler lip or pop eye shadow." As for their fashion choices the girls explained that they like to remain comfortably trendy, "Definitely, putting on a nice jacket at night... maybe some denim or leather. We're totally leather girls. Edginess is definitely our key, but comfort for us is definitely key as well. Comfort is beauty so anything we can just causally walk down the street with is good for us," Sarina said.
As the temperature slowly drops, the signing doublet offered their advice for fans looking ready to pull out their light leather jackets and leather boots to match the color of the falling leaves,.
"Always bring a sweater or a jacket. We have this brown leather jacket that we've been into and we bring it everywhere. We also got this old army jacket from Vietnam actually, I got it in California at this flee market. You can wear it by itself or you can wear it with layers." Nalani said.
"Layers are the best!" Sarani exclaimed, "If you're hot one minute or cold the next, layers are definitely what you want." She added, "But also, long skirts I've been loving. Again, that flow is something that we're all about and the long ones you can wear a high heel shoe or something simple... Toms or whatever you're feeling that day."
Whether if it's flipping styles throughout the day or instruments during their live performances at night, the classically trained 21-year-olds are on a long successful road while in style as they celebrate their debut album "Lessons Learned."
