Nick Jonas American Idol 'Rumors Are True', Singer Admits

Last week, it was speculated that Nick Jonas, is close to signing for the American Idol hot judge seat right next to Mariah Carey.  

Jonas took to his twitter account to confirm that the rumors were not groundless.

"The rumors are true ... I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol, and it would be a dream come true if it happens. #nickonidol," he tweeted to his 4.6 million followers.

Immediately fans praised the possibility and shared his excitement.

"OMJ!!! Awesome, of course that you deserves be there!! #nickonidol #proudofNickJ", wrote a twitter follower by the name of Ale.

Another fan by the name of Claire wrote, "If @nickjonas is a judge on Idol this season, I'm auditioning again"

After reading a load of encouraging responses, Jonas tweeted back, "Loved seeing all your amazing response to #NickOnIdol keep it coming!"

Another artist who is rumored to join the judge panel is hip hop producer Pharrell Williams.
