'Sons Of Anarchy' Recap: "Playing With Monsters" Presents Charlie Hunnam's Jax Teller Taking A Darker Turn!

The highly anticipated season 7 of Sons of Anarchy  continues with another episode on FX. How long will it take for Gemma Teller (Katey Sagal), Charlie Hunnam (Jax Teller), and Jimmy Smits (Nero) before the three realize they are 'Playing With Monsters?'

The opening begins with the making-of a porno movie. The Sons crew are watching as a lesbian threesome takes place in the porno, Shankenstein. As soon as the female director says, "Cut," that's when the crew starts applauding. 

Juice (Theo Rossi) and Wayne start working on a deal. Wayne will do a favor for Juice if he gives him direction to Tara's unsolved murder. As the two are hashing out a plan, Gemma (Sagal) wants to know from Nero (Smits) that there will be peace between him and her son. 

Jax (Hunnam) overhears that only one of the Indian Hills members was found in the bloody shootout. There is still one other body missing. Could the Hills leader know that Jax betrayed him and murdered his son?

August Marks reminds Jax what happens when there are secrets and lies. Jax should not mistake him for Pope because he is far deadlier. He will have no remorse if the Sons end up dead. 

To build a war against August, the Sons team-up with Tyler and his One-Niners. It is a hard promise to sell to betray Marks because the gang needs his drug pipeline. The One-Niners will team-up with the Sons if they squash their competition.

Jax sets up an intricate plan that involves Tully (Peter Weller) and Tyler's rival, Chester. Jax promises Chester that they will split the spoils of war if they rob from the Mayans. Jax and his crew then shoot Chester and his boys in the back as they to rob Pier 19,

One of Neo's girls is having a loud argument with her father. When Gemma gets involved, she gets punched in the face. Nero rushes in and beats the crap out of the girl's father, never realizing Jax's little boy is watching.

The new Sheriff (Annabeth Gish) arrives at the crime scene and holds a meeting with Jax and Chibs (Tommy Flanagan). If the cops cannot find Juice, then an APB has to be put out for him. This concerns Jax because he is right in the middle of going to war against Lin.

When Nero and the Mayans realize their Pier was almost robbed, they now have to retaliate. At first, Chibs thinks he is supposed to meet with his parole officer, but it's actually Juice who sets up the whole thing. When Juice asks if he can return to the club, make things right, Chibs tells him he should go kill himself.

Knowing that Juice tried to make contact, Jax realizes he needs to bribe the Sheriff, to make her look the other way. Chibs makes the deal happen, agreeing to give the Sheriff a heads-up if something is going down. She will hold off on the APB on Juice for at least three days.

While Juice is in hiding, the Mayans take down the rest of Chester's gang. The Sons pretend to be part of August Mark's crew as they raid Lin's massage brothels. Jax and Gemma visit the man who hit her; making sure he feels her pain.

Jax's revenge plans are making him towards a darker path in Sons of Anarchy. Readers, what did you think of Playing With Monsters?
