Elton John is not ready to back down from the ongoing feud that he has with fellow musical icon Madonna. In an interview for Australian TV that aired on Sunday, John's fighting words seem to be the harshest that he's shared yet.

The "Bennie and the Jets" singer said of Madonna on Australia's Channel 7 on Sunday evening, "Why is she such a nightmare? Her career is over, I can tell you that. Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn't happen to a bigger [expletive]."

John continues his rant, claiming that Madonna should have stopped when she was in her prime:

"If Madonna had any common sense, she would have made a record like Ray of Light, stayed away from the dance stuff, and just been a great pop singer and made great pop records, which she does brilliantly. But no, she had to prove that she was like..."

It seems here John loses his train of thought for a moment, but then he continues on to the kicker:

And she looks like a [expletive] fairground stripper."

Yes, Elton John has referred to Madonna as a low-cost stripper.

John evens throws in some comments about his defense towards Mother Monster Lady Gaga, who is the godmother of his son Zachary, saying that "[Madonna's] been so horrible to Gaga."

(Madonna made claims earlier this year that Gaga's "Born This Way" was an "interesting redo" of her 1989 hit "Express Yourself).

This feud between John and the "Material Girl" is nothing new - well, at least not on John's part. The "Honky Cat" hit-maker has repeatedly publically dissed Madonna, claiming that she lip-synchs while performing on stage (before her Super Bowl Halftime performance this February, John sent her out the message "lip-synchs well"). John and his romantic partner even made some nasty comments after Madonna beat him out for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes.

Madonna has yet to give in to any of the rude remarks, making no big attempts to slam John back. The "Like a Virgin" songstress is currently dealing with controversies of her own over in France, having played a video during one of her shows which featured an image of French right-wing politician Marine Le Pen's face with a swastika emblazoned on it.

We'll see if the pop diva has any comments this time around, given that being called "fairground stripper" isn't the best of compliments.
