Ashley Tisdale On Marriage: 'High School Musical' Star Opens Up About Marrying Best Friend Christopher French

Wedding bells were in the air earlier this month for Ashley Tisdale and the love of her life Christopher French. The pair, who were engaged for 13 months got married on Monday September 8, 2014. While not many weddings take place on Mondays Ashley explained during a radio interview why that day held such significance for her.

The High School Musical star called in talk to Ryan Seacrest about her nuptial during his radio show, and he asked Tisdale what the purpose was behind getting hitched on a Monday.

"It definitely was for two reasons," Ashley explained. "The 8^th was our anniversary so I wanted to land on an 8^th, and thankfully it landed on a Monday in September. Also, I figured it was a good idea, because I figured out like, 'Oh, I don't think anybody would figure this one out,' and that was to protect the privacy of it."

The bride looked absolutely gorgeous in the Instagram pictures she posted from after the ceremony where she wore a Monique Lhuillier gown. Her husband Christopher also looked stunning as he donned a John Varvatos suit.

Having a wedding on a Monday could be hard as some of your guests might not be able to swing it, but pal Vanessa Hudgens and Shenae Grimes wouldn't have missed the wedding for the world.

She gushed to Ryan about the ceremony saying, "It was very awesome."

The couple just returned from a tropical honeymoon where they spend the last few weeks soaking up the sun in Bora Bora. Tisdale kept all her fans in the loop, as she posted pictures to her Instagram account from the beach, making us all incredibly jealous.
