Paulina Gretzky Instagram Photo Announces Pregnancy - NHL Legend Wayne Gretzky Will Be A Grandpa

Wayne Gretzky is about to become a grandpa, and there's no question the retired NHL hockey player will be a Great One.

As TSN.com reports, Gretzky's daughter, Paulina Gretzky, confirmed via Instagram on Tuesday that she and her pro golfer fiancé, Dustin Johnson, are expecting a baby.

"@djohnsonpga & i are so excited to finally share with you all our amazing news..we're having a baby!!" Paulina captioned a photo of herself cradling her baby bump in front of a pool.

This will be the first child for the couple, who have been engaged since last August. They began dating earlier that same year.

"Never Been Happier," Paulina shared via Instagram at the time.

News of the impending arrival comes as a welcomed source of positivity for the family, as just last month Johnson was rumored to be suspended from this year's PGA tour for testing positive for cocaine.

In late July, Johnson announced he would be taking a personal leave of absence to work on some personal matters, although he didn't go into specifics.

"I will use this time to seek professional help for personal challenges I have faced," Johnson told Golf.com in a statement at the time. "By committing the time and resources necessary to improve my mental health, physical well-being and emotional foundation, I am confident that I will be better equipped to fulfill my potential and become a consistent champion. I respectfully ask my fans, well-wishers and the media for privacy as I embark upon this mission of self-improvement."

While Golf.com maintains that the leave was actually a suspension stemming from a failed drug test, the PGA Tour has denied those reports, saying that Johnson's absence from the tour is completely voluntary.

"With regard to media reports that Dustin Johnson has been suspended by the PGA TOUR," the organization said in a statement, "this is to clarify that Mr. Johnson has taken a voluntary leave of absence and is not under a suspension from the PGA TOUR."
