Sue Bird has made history once again.

The women's basketball legend has just nabbed a spot on her fourth USA Basketball world championship roster, it was announced Tuesday.

With the signing, Bird became the first player to make the team four times in her career.

USA Basketball confirmed the news via Twitter Tuesday evening, tweeting, "@S10Bird becomes the USA's 1st 4X USA World Championship Team member @fiba #Congrats #longevity."

"I think it's a testament to Sue," USA Basketball head coach Geno Auriemma said. "That's a period of 12 years. She played right after graduating college. It is amazing that her level of play has been that consistent for that many years at a position that is not easy to play. That's kind of who she is. She is very steady, very even keeled, unbelievably talented and wins. The players trust her, and they have confidence in her."

When asked last week about her potential for accomplishing the feat, Bird remained her usual, modest self.

"It just means I've been playing a lot of years," Bird said, according to ESPN. "We have a lot of other veterans in this group, and I'm sure we'll have a good mix of experience and youth."

And she is right.

The roster boasts USA Basketball mainstays Seimone Augustus, Tina Charles, Lindsay Whalen and Diana Taurasi but also welcomes newcomers, like University of Connecticut junior Breanna Stewart and WNBA youngsters Odyssey Sims, Brittney Griner and Nnemkadi Ogwumike, to name a few.

"I think from what I can see, we've got a little bit of everything," Auriemma said. "We still have, obviously, some things that we have to work on. Brittney is going to get here, and this will be her first time through this. Odyssey's first time. Breanna's first time. Nneka's first time. That's a lot of new faces."
