Is the world ready for the return of the first American Idol, we know that we are. Kelly Clarkson has taken a little time off from the music industry this past year as she got married and added a baby girl into her life. But it looks like the singer is on the verge of debuting some new music, that is if her social media is any indication.

Clarkson took to her Twitter to tease her fans with some lyrics from an all-new song.

"The high road can be a lonely place but I'd rather talk to my shadow than a mirage."

Quickly realizing that the lyrics might be misconstrued by fans, she explained that everything in her life is amazing and that the tweet was just some of the lyrics to one of her new songs. "Okay haha my last tweet was referring 2 a song that's going on my next album. Things r great n my world! The song is about the high road :)"

Clarkson surprised fans with the bombshell that she is hard at work on her new record. This will be the first original album that Clarkson has released in the last three years. Her last record, Stronger, featured the hits "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)," "Mr. Know It All," and "Dark Side." She also released Christmas album, Wrapped in Red, last fall.

With this news, fans were quick to ask questions about the project, including if Kelly will have any special guests joining her on some of the new songs.

"Yes. I'm so proud of my next album! Might have a special guest on the album... maybe :)" the singer tweeted, while also adding a possible released date for it, "Doesn't come out until early next year."

We can't wait!!!
