Sofia Vergara Jokes That She And Boyfriend Joe Manganiello Watch Themselves And Not TV When They’re Together

Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara stopped by Live! With Kelly and Michael on Thursday to talk about the new season of the ABC comedy, but Kelly Ripa couldn't stop asking about her new boyfriend, True Blood's Joe Manganiello.

"Well he's very hot," Sofia told Kelly and Michael Strahan about her new beau. "He's a great guy, he's very funny. And he's very entertaining which is very important for me because I need to be with somebody that knows how to have fun because I like to have fun."

Kelly pointed out the obvious (which is why we love her) saying, "You two are the perfect couple. If I were you, I would put mirrors everywhere. I'd be like, 'Let's just look at ourselves right now."

The 42-year-old actress quickly joked back saying that's exactly what they do, stare at each other in mirrors. "When we're hanging out, we don't watch TV, we just watch ourselves," she said.

The couple has been dating since July, but their romance started out in May with Joe staring at Sofia's butt. Yes, Joe was caught in a photo staring at the Sofia's derriere at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in May. The whole event ended up being a great icebreaker the Don't Mess with Texas star told Meredith Vieira on Thursday during an interview on her new talk show.

"It was really funny because I didn't know that had happened until I started really going out with him," Sofia told the talk show host on the Meredith Vieira Show. "Somebody sent me the pictures and I confronted him about it and he was like, 'Yeah, I can't excuse myself. I was there.'"

Even though the duo met in May and eventually started to date, Joe has had his eye on Sofia long before that. The 37-year-old actor, who is now working on Magic Mike XXL, has always had a crush on his now girlfriend.

"Sofia is Joe's dream girl!" a source exclusively told Us Weekly after the two started dating. "He's been smitten with her for years. He's always had a huge crush on her. Things are going well for them so far."
