Chris Brown has moved passed his relationship with ex-girlfriend Rihanna and he wants everyone to know it, but that doesn't mean the two still don't keep in touch.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Chris said the two are just friends, but doesn't know what the future holds for them. "We're good, we're friends. Nothing too serious... We're not trying to start a life together right now, we're just having fun."

Chris must be trying to choose his words carefully ever since he got back together with ex-flame Karrueche Tran.

One of the questions Chris was coy about was if Rhianna was the inspiration for his song "Drunk Texting" from his new album X. The lyrics to the song suggest it's about her, but you decide for yourself. In it he sings, "Got me feeling some type of way told you I hate you I don't mean it... Now my current situation, trying not to think of you, not to break the rules."

He denied it was about Rihanna saying, "'I think that's just the fans' perception or the media's perception at all times because of our history. But whenever we do music, people can make the assumption and that's fine because if they buy more because they think that, then go ahead and buy a thousand copies.

"But as far as me writing and going into that, I don't really try to put my focus on Rihanna every song. At the end of the day it's almost six, seven years later. It's like, how many more times am I going to talk about the same situation?"

Chris was recently released from prison after violating his probation. He has been on a publicity tour promoting X, which was released September 15. The album opened at #2 on the Billboard charts with a disappointing 146,000 copies. It was his first album to not debut at #1 in 5 years.
