LeBron James, Savannah James & David Blatt Welcomed To Cleveland Cavaliers At Official Press Conference: Can King James Win NBA Title For Cleveland?

When LeBron James took his wife, Savannah James, and his family to join the Miami Heat, the Cleveland Cavaliers could never imagine welcoming him back. Today at their official media day, they welcomed King James and his new coach David Blatt to the team. Both seem excited, and although they're reluctant to say it, it seems they're targeting the NBA title in their first season with one another.

In front of over 300 journalists, LeBron spoke to them, wearing a Cavaliers jersey for the first time in over four years. He insisted "The only time I felt surreal was the welcome home event at the University of Akron, where I got the chills of being back and the fans and everyone welcoming me back with open arms. The challenge with the team is every single day we have to understand we can't waste that day. We have to prepare each and every day to get better. Each day and each month, throughout the process we have to give ourselves a chance to compete at the end of the year. It's not going to be easy at all, but if we have patience with the process and everyone buys in to coach's system then it will help us out a lot."

Blatt followed that by saying "I'm at the point now, let's get it on. I'm like Marvin Gaye up here. Let's get it started. It's an enormous advantage when your best player and arguably the best player in the world is your best example. The manner in which he made his decision to come back here and his decision to come back to Cleveland speaks volumes about what he wants and what he wants to go forward in his career. The best thing about LeBron is when he comes to work every day, you know you're going to get his maximum effort and maximum performance and so far that has been pretty doggone good. When he walks into the gym, he lifts everyone up. He's certainly going to help us on and off the court with everything we do."
