Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2 Spoilers: How Will Mockingbird Be Introduced?

Fans of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. likely know by now that Adrianne Palicki will portray Mockingbird in Season 2 of the ABC show. But how will the character be introduced?

For starters, the character's (and the actress') femininity and beauty will be used, according to the "Spoiler Room" column at EW.com.

I can tell you that the show will explore the power of sexuality when Mockingbird is introduced. 'That is a quality and something that is very inherent in a lot of spy dealings,' executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen tells me. 'It's not really dealt with firsthand, and that might be something that we dive into with Mockingbird.' Check out this week's issue of EW for more scoop on her introduction."

Earlier this month, executive producers Jed Whedon and Tancharoen spoke to Comic Book Resources about the character and the actress. "Well, we're very excited to have the beloved character, Mockingbird, on the show," Tancharoen said. "Adrianne Palicki was a perfect fit for the role. She was someone we pictured from the beginning. It's thrilling to have a nice, sort of skilled, sexy spy in the mix. And I think with the handful of characters that we have added to the show, it's just to illustrate what the new S.H.I.E.L.D. may look like. Coulson is operating with limited resources, so he has to bring people into the fold. So it may feel like we're expanding a lot, but really, the people that you will see are basically the people we have at our disposal."
