After months and months of teasing, the Batman prequel, Gotham, continues on Fox with its second episode. From the DC Comics Universe, Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) is going to meet "Selina Kyle," the little girl who will becomes the Dark Knight's lover/enemy, The Catwoman.

The episode starts with Young Bruce (David Mazouz) testing himself, placing his candle on top of the burning candle. Alfred barges in, yells at him, and hugs the boy tightly.

Young Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) watches her homeless friends being kidnapped by a well-dressed couple, Patti and Doug. One of the homeless kids escapes, but gets his butt handed to him. The escapee is suddenly thrown into a restaurant's window.

With a bad leg, Oswald Copplepot (Robin Taylor) is still on the run. Oswald gets picked up by a group of rich college kids, who unfortunately call him "Penguin." He brutally murders the passenger and holds the driver hostage.

The homeless kid tells the detectives what really happened, but Bullock (Donal Logue) doesn't believe him. Gordon (Ben McKenzie) builds up the tension, causing his partner to attack another police officer. While the two are being scolded by their captain, Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) gives the detectives a major clue, the poison came from Arkham.

Mob boss Carmine Falcone visits Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett-Smith)'s club, catching her by surprise. Though she lies about the waiter being her lover, Carmine has his henchmen beat him. This is Carmine's message to her, never lie to him again.

We meet Oswald's mother (Carol Kane), who's worried about her missing boy. Renee Montoya is taking it personal that someone killed her snitch. Gordon tells his fiancee whats going on at work. Barbara makes a call to the newspapers, warning them about a killer couple going after homeless kids.

With the press hounding the Mayor, Gordon and Bullock have to push forward on their investigation. Patti and Doug are about to get rid of their drug supplier, when the cops show up. After an intense shootout, Gordon rushes in and saves the homeless kids.

The Mayor sets up a plan to help the homeless kids, rounding them to be taken to upstate, straight to juvenile detention. Selina ends up in the school bus stolen by Patti and Doug. The kidnapped kids are on their way to meet the Doll-Maker.

While the kidnapped kids are kept in a shipment yard, Gordon lets Bullock beat up their suspect to get a confession out of him. Patti ends up chasing after Selina throughout the shipyard. Just when Patti is about to pull the trigger on Selina, Jim rushes in, knocks her out, and saves the little cat burglar.

Selina doesn't want to go with the other kids to juvenile detention. She convinces the cop to call in Gordon, because she has something important to tell him. Selina tells Gordon she got a good look at the man who killed Bruce Wayne's parents.

Jim Gordon ends up with another clue about the Wayne Murders on Gotham. Readers, what did you think of Selina Kyle?
