'RHONY' Bethenny Frankel Returning To The Series: Will Nemesis Jill Zarin Also Return?

Real Housewives of New York fans rejoice! Bethenny Frankel, who became the breakout star of the show, is returning to be a housewife on the series once again.

According to Us Weekly, the producers desperately need Bethenny to help increase the ratings of the Bravo staple franchise. Ratings at its peak were close to 3 million viewers, but have plummeted by almost 2 million in recent years.

"Bringing her back is a last-ditch effort," a source told the mag.

One major question still remains: will Bethenny's former best friend Jill Zarin also return to the show? The two famously had a falling out in front of cameras which started when Bethenny told Jill to "get a hobby."

According to Us, every fan's wish could come true.

Jill "might come back to rehash their issues," they said. "But so far it's just talk."

A return the series for the seventh season may just be what Bethenny needs right now in her life. After leaving RHONY in 2010, Bethenny starred in her own reality show called Bethenny Ever After. The show chronicled her life with husband Jason Hoppy and daughter Brynn. During that time, she also sold her Skinny Girl Empire for a reported $100 million.

However, Bethenny's life started falling apart with her bitter divorce from Jason and the cancellation of her talk show after only one season. She is need of a comeback and a return to the show that catapulted her into stardom may be the answer.

In a recent interview with Access Hollywood Live, Bethenny said she has discussed the possibility of returning with Real Housewives Executive Producer Andy Cohen and current housewife Ramona Singer.

"I talk to Andy, we're talking about another project right now and we're working on something that's a little bit of a secret," she said. "And Ramona has asked me, it's - I'd have to be crazy. I am crazy. You'd have to be crazy to do it."
