Fans of ABC series Mistresses might have just gotten great news yesterday with the confirmation that the show has been picked up for a third season. However, the joy might be short-lived, as one of the stars has just taken to her Twitter account revealing that she will no longer be a part of the series. Alyssa Milano, has just confirmed that after two seasons on the soapy drama, she is calling it quits.

The star took to her Twitter page to let fans know firsthand about her departure, writing," Sadly, I won't be returning to #Mistresses. Here's why:," she explained linking to a blog post on her website for a longer explanation.

"After two wonderful seasons in Los Angeles, the studio has decided to shoot season three of Mistresses in Vancouver, Canada for financial reasons," Milano explained. "It's with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can't relocate. I have two babies under 4. Being a mother and wife comes first and I just can not uproot my children and separate the family by moving away."

As we previously reported, Milano just added a new baby to her family earlier this summer.

The star has nothing but love and support for her fellow cast members, wishing them all well on the continuation of the series. "I will miss this job desperately and wish everyone the absolute best."

The third season of the show, which will kick off next summer, will feature returning cast members Rochelle Aytes, Yunjin Kim, Jess Macallan, Jason George, and Brett Tucker.

No word yet on how the show will deal with her character Savannah "Savi" Davis's exit. But according to E! News, the season two finale left off with Savi about to discover that her ex-husband and sister Joss were about to share a passionate moment together. OMG!
