We all knew Barbara Walters had a deep set of opinions. After all, she created a show called The View. But who knew she had such deep pockets??

GossipCop reports that the famed journalist recently donated $10 million to New York Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia University Medical School. The donation will be used for the new Barbara Walters Acute Care Treatment Center.

This isn't the first time the former View host has helped out the medical center. Back in 2012, she helped fund a welcoming area in the hospital's Adult Emergency department. GC notes that the television personality also aided in redoing a waiting area for cardiac patients' relatives just last year.

Say what you want about Barbara Walters, but the woman sure is giving!

She recently told The Wall Street Journal that she's been "working a very long time." So long, in fact, that she joked, "I've been working since Abe Lincoln."

For those wondering just why Walters has donated such a hefty amount to New York Presbyterian over the years, it's actually the location in which the famed journalist underwent heart surgery back in 2010. She reportedly had one of her aortic valves replaced and has since been forever indebted to the folks at the hospital.

Walters recently retired from the noted ABC series The View earlier this year after having co-hosted the program since 1997. But judging from the looks of this tweet, the show still loves her:
