Actress Jenna Elfman is making her way back to 20th Century Fox Television. The Hollywood Reporter learned today that the 43-year-old star has signed a deal with 20th Century Fox.

"Under the pact, Elfman will team with a writer-either on the comedy or drama side-to develop a project in which she will star. The actress-producer is already meeting with writers," The Hollywood Reporter learned.

The deal will reunite Jenna with the studio responsible for Dharma and Greg, which is where she got her start in 1997. Dharma and Greg was a comedy on ABC about Greg Montgomery (played by Thomas Gibson who is now on Criminal Minds), who was uptight and came from a high society family and his wife Dharma Finkelstein (played by Jenna), the free spirit from a family of hippies. The show ran for five seasons and ended in 2002.

Most recently, Jenna was seen in 1600 Penn, a comedy about the White House where she played Emily Nash Gilchrist, a trophy wife and the first lady. Her last TV stint was NBC's Growing Up Fisher, a comedy about a blind man and his family where Jenna played Joyce Fisher, the soon-to-be ex-wife of Mel Fisher (played by J.K. Simmons).

"[Jenna] is both a brilliant comedic leading lady and a stunning dramatic actress; she quite frankly can do everything. Audiences love her and so do we, as our relationship spans from Dharma all the way to 1600 Penn. We could not be more excited to be back in business developing something just for her," Sharon Klein, executive vice president of casting at 20th Century Fox said.

According to Deadline the deal is for development and talent with the network. The Los Angeles native just finished production on the feature film, Big Stone Gap.
