Randy Travis Update: Threatened to Kill Cops [MUG SHOT]

Randy Travis was caught in a car wreck Tuesday late evening and was arrested for suspicion of DWI.  Travis suffered some minor injuries and thankfully no one else was involved in the accident.  

As TMZ reported, Travis was naked when the police arrived to the scene after receiving a call from someone who had seen Travis lying on the road.  He was given clothes to wear for his mug shot, which displayed a black eye, bruises and cuts on his face.

Instead of being grateful, Travis threatened to kill the cops who were there to take him to safety.  He was probably very drunk or downright angry.

The country star was then charged for "retaliation" by the Grayson County Sheriff officer.  He is now in police custody.

This is not Travis' first time getting busted by cops. He was caught drunk in his car in February 2012 after getting into a fight with his girlfriend.

Let's hope Travis rebounds back and makes headlines for music rather than his intoxication.
