While Brooks Ayers shocked his on-again, off-again girlfriend Vicki Gunvalson with a confession that he cheated on her while the two were together, it might be his most recent confession to the Real Housewives of Orange County star that is the most upsetting. Brooks has just revealed that he is currently battling a form of Stage 3 cancer.

RadarOnline has the exclusive interview with Ayers, where he reveals that he was just diagnosed with an "aggressive fast-moving" cancer. However, he is now explaining that he was first diagnosed almost a year ago in the fall of 2013, but that it has now progressed into stage 3.

"Life is funny sometimes. Sometimes it is not," the reality star, who last month admitted to cheating on Vicki explained. "My reality is that I have, once again, been diagnosed with a form of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma specifically diffuse large B cell lymphoma."

"I appreciate the prayers, support, and positive vibes from anyone who would wish to send them," Brooks tells Radar. "Let me assure you that I am going to remain positive and continue to battle this disease vigorously with much tenacity along with seeking the appropriate medical care," the reality star explained.

He ends by saying, "Please respect my family's privacy in this matter as we walk through this challenging time."

It seems like Brooks and Vicki can't catch a break, as it was reported by The Inquistr that the lawsuit for Gunvalson's brief business "Vicki's Vodka," would soon be making all personal documents public knowledge despite Vicki's pleas to have them sealed.

"The judge feels that Vicki Gunvalson is a celebrity and anything is fair game," the site reports.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Vicki and Brooks during this difficult time.
