LeBron James recently gave his jersey (and a hug!) to one of his biggest fans on Wednesday: 16-year-old Jackie Custer, an Ohio native who is currently battling leukemia.

Back on Sept. 11, Custer (@jackie_custer16) tweeted, "I have cancer then a stroke then a blood clot then infiltrate, now doc tells me I have an infection. What more? Nothing will bring me down." She accompanied the tweet with two emojis: one of a fist and another of a serious face.

Then on Wednesday, King James brought her right back up, just days after her last stint in rehab.

"Literally shaking right now @KingJames @cavs thank you so much," she tweeted after the game.

It was all part of the Cavs' Wine & Gold scrimmage, which splits the team into two – a Wine team and a Gold team – as they battle it out on the court for their fans.

Prior to Wednesday's game, each player presented a jersey to one of 18 lucky fans. Custer hit the jackpot, receiving her jersey from the newly-signed James, who's back for his second stint with his hometown team.

Custer has gotten lots of media attention over the past couple of days, though fame or no fame, she's always had a ton of support in her court –– from friends, family and the hospital where she's been receiving treatment.

On Sept. 29, the Jackson Lady Bears basketball team (Lady_BearsBBall) tweeted at Custer , "Congratulations @jackie_custer16 on finishing her last day of rehab! Never stop fighting!"

Wednesday's events were simply the latest in a long line of much-deserved admiration for the youngster who cut 10 inches off her hair before it fell out so that she could donate it to Locks of Love and give back while she still could.
