FX's 'The Strain' Spoilers: Will Mia Maestro, Corey Stoll Defeat "The Master?" [WATCH]

Just days away before The Strain delivers its first season finale, FX has released a trailer for the upcoming episode. Based on the bestselling Dark Horse Comics series from visionary director Guillermo Del Toro, will Corey Stoll (Ephraim Goodweather) and Mia Maestro (Nora Martinez) be able to defeat "The Master?"

In our recent recap, Nora (Maestro) and Eph (Stoll) were able to send out a message out to the masses about the vampire plague. While Eph tried to warn his audience, Nora ran footage from the graphic video of their autopsy of a bloodsucker. Just as Eph's screen time was cut off, Thomas Echorist (Richard Sammel) launched an attack on Abraham Setrakian (David Bradley)'s pawn shop.

Though Abraham led the group to safety, Nora suffered a heartbreaking tragedy. Stung by the infected rock star, Nora's mother screamed while her blood was being drained from her neck. With her face drenched in tears, Nora swung the blade and chopped off her own mother's head.

In the season finale, we see footage of Vasiliy Fet (Kevin Durand) and Eph stumbling upon the Master's coffin. They know the Master is around lurking somewhere, but it looks like Nora found him first. Will Eph rescue Nora in time, or will she become another causality?

As we mentioned before, The Master has been around humanity for such a long time. Del Toro explains,"He's gone through serving an emperor in Rome. He was in the crusades. He is incredibly intelligent, politically very savvy, but at the same time ruthless. He doesn't care about humans."

How can Eph and Nora possibly win against someone like that?
