Michael B. Jordan's role as The Human Torch in Josh Trank's rebooted Fantastic Four movie caused quite the controversy among fans who rebelled against the idea of an African-American actor playing a historically white character. But in a recent interview, Jordan maintained that it doesn't bother him.

"Can't make everybody happy," he told the New York Daily News. "I don't think anything about it."

The actor did address the character's racial transformation and noted both Trank and the studio stood behind it. "It's something that we kind of willed to happen, which was really important to me and Josh," Jordan said. "We're lucky we had a studio behind us that really supported our ambition and our want for change. Now we have something really epic."

Despite the negative response, Jordan remains excited to be a part of a comic book movie. "I loved comic books; Japanese animation, cartoons," he said. "So to be able to play a character that I always fantasized about and always wanted to be, to have powers and stuff like that, and to be a part of Marvel's family, it's a huge deal for me. I geek out about it."

One thing he may not have geeked out about was the Human Torch's costume in the movie. When asked how he felt when he put on the suit for the first time, Jordan admitted his thought was, "This is a lot tighter than I expected."

Finally, Jordan talked about how he prepared for the role and revealed he had a ton of time to do so. "I've known about this character and playing this role for almost two and a half years now," he said. "So when I get all these new questions about how I'm feeling about it, I'm like, 'You know, I'm feeling pretty good about it.'"
