Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice's daughter is speaking out for the first time about her parents' prison sentence.

In tweets to her followers, Gia Giudice, who also stars on RHONJ, expressed her gratitude for the all the love that has come her and her family's way since her parents were sentenced to prison on bankruptcy and fraud charges.

"Family forever," she wrote. "Such an amazing support system it's unreal."

However, on Friday she seemed to be taking it harder.

"The little things matter to me but the big things matter to you," she tweeted with a sad face.

Just yesterday her parents taped a special episode of Bravo's Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. It's their first post-sentencing interview with the media.

It's been quite a ride for the family who have had their ups and down played out on national television.

As MStars News reported, Joe Giudice was first sentenced to 41 months behind bars and then Teresa was given 15 months.

The judge first thought about giving the reality star probation, but then decided prison time was necessary to teach her a lesson after purposely and consistently deceiving the government.

"I will say on the outset, I'm going to focus on what I didn't say to your husband that all of the false declarations, wire fraud and bank fraud is still your fault," Judge Esther Salas told Teresa in her closing statement, Us Weekly reported. "For a moment, I thought about probation until I read the government's report."

"What you did in the financial disclosure really sticks in my craw," she continued. "It's what the court has a problem with. It shows blatant disrespect for the court."

Teresa and Joe will serve their time consecutively so one parent will be home with their kids, while the other is behind bars.
