Get your blankets ready because it's time to get chilly in another episode of Once Upon a Time meets Frozen. Episode 2, "White Out," continues that story of Elsa as she tried to find her sister Anna in the town of Storybrooke.

In this episode, the exits in Storybrooke have been blocked off by an ice wall, which Elsa erected to seal off the town so that she could find her sister. However things don't go as plan when Elsa accidently traps Emma and her inside an ice cave after her fear mistakenly triggers an avalanche.

However, Elsa uses this mishap to her advantage, as she can now keep Emma hostage from Captain Hook and David, until Emma's father and boyfriend can bring Anna to her. Sadly for the three of them none of them know Anna or where she could possibly be.

In flashbacks we learn that David does know Anna but he just doesn't know it since he met her under a different name. In the Enchanted Forest of the past, the two came in contact with each other when Anna was using the name Joan.

Joan, aka Anna, helped David during a time when he really needed it. When the warlord Bo Peep tells David and his mother that they must pay her for the farmland that they occupy or that she will make them her slaves, Anna teaches David some of her awesome sword maneuvers so that he can beat Peep at her own game.

Flashback to Storybrooke. With Emma and Elsa still trapped in the fortress of ice they begin to trust one another, even talking about they inability to control their own magical powers. When Elsa reveals that she can't unfreeze them without the help of her sister, Emma starts to lose hope in ever getting out of the ice castle.

David and Hook end up going to an unlikely foe, Mr. Gold since he is the only led that they have to inquire about where Anna is.  After telling him about the necklace that was Anna's that Elsa discovered in the shop, Gold flashes a picture which makes David realize that he had meet Anna before but when she was going by the name of Joan.

Back in the Enchanted Forest, Bo Peep reveals that she has captured Anna and has branded her as a slave, meaning she can find her anywhere she goes just by a simple look into her shepherd's staff. David uses this to his advantage in Storybrooke, tracking down Bo and her staff so that he can try to find Anna.

It looks like those skills that Anna taught David in the Enchanted Forest paid off as David defeats Bo and rescues Anna even though it doesn't look like she needs any saving.

Remembering that he knows Anna, David gives a pep talk to Elsa in one last hope that it will help her bring down the ice fortress that she has created. David uses a quote that Anna used to say, and it gives Elsa just enough power to melt a hole through the ice and it gives her and Emma enough room to escape.

In the land that was, after David defeats Peep and saves his lands, Anna bids ado to both him and his mother, but not before inviting him and his mother to her Arendelle wedding.

Anna just asks for one more bit of advice from the two before leaving. She seeks out the name of the person her parents traveled to the Enchanted Forest to find before their ship sank, asking David's mother who her parents would seek out to learn more about magic from. David's mother writes down the name of the person Anna should be looking for and we learn it's Rumpelstiltskin.

In Storybrooke, the magic staff that David stole from Bo proves to be fruitless as they can't use it to find the exact location of Anna, but when asking for the princess the staff makes out a heartbeat. While not giving an exact location to the princess, they do learn that she is alive, which seems like it is enough for now.

The end of the episode, like all Once episodes, gives us a little bit of a cliffhanger. When Elsa can't bring the ice wall down she learns that there might be someone else in town who has magical freezing powers. Fans get their first look at Elizabeth Mitchell's character of the Snow Queen, who is going to be wreaking havoc on the land of Storybrooke.

Tune in next wee for an all-new episode of Once Upon a Time.
