Amanda Bynes Engagement Rumors- Former Nickelodeon Star NOT Engaged Following DUI Arrest

Amanda Bynes has been at the center of controversy lately as she was just arrested earlier this month for driving under the influence of Adderall. Now the star is making headlines again as she is telling In Touch magazine that she is engaged to her 19-year-old boyfriend Caleb. However, new reports today are claiming that the reports are false, and that the star isn't going to be picking out her wedding dress anytime soon.

According to RadarOnline, family members and friends have spoken out to the news site and are claiming that Amanda is definitely not engaged.

"She isn't getting engaged. She's delusional," an insider revealed to the site. "This is just more proof of her shaky mental state."

However, the star could be very much engaged as the site previously reported that Amanda hasn't been returning the calls of her close friends and family members including her brother and sister, keeping them out of the loop.

"Amanda's brother, Tommy, and sister, Jillian, are extremely concerned for her because she isn't returning their phone calls or texts," a source told Radar. "They fear for her safety and well-being, especially since Amanda is now in New York City. They're afraid she's going to die there."

The quotes that Amanda reportedly made to In Touch explained her happiness for being engaged as a way to get men off her back.

"I am very needy for friendship and I hate men. I want to f*** them, but I can now say I'm engaged- get away from me," the star told the magazine on October 5 of being engaged to Caleb a bait shop worker in California. "I want to be married and I want to be away from people."

The magazine also explained that the star was looking forward to designing her wedding dress since she is "so particular about how I look that I cannot imagine not designing it."

So is she engaged or isn't she? We guess only time will tell.
