The Batman prequel, Gotham, continues on Fox with its third episode. As more characters from DC Comics Universe make their way to the TV screen, Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) is about to face another Dark Knight baddie, "The Balloonman."

In the opening, Oswald (Robin Taylor) has returned back to the city. Elsewhere, a corrupt banker is attacked by a madman wearing a pig's mask. Ronald Danzer is handcuffed to a huge ballon, which takes him up into the air.

With their latest case, Bullock (Donal Logue) doesn't really care while Gordon (McKenzie) does. Gordon takes Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) under his custody and revisits the Wayne Murder aite. The information Selina gives him is correct but Gordon manages to lose her.

Montoya and her partner, Allen, visit Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett-Smith) at her nightclub. While the detectives are asking about Oswald's whereabouts, Fish lets it slip that Gordon killed their snitch for mob boss, Carmine Falcone. Montoya then confronts Gordon about this info, but he doesn't give in to their accusations.

Hungry and broke, Oswald kills his way to get a busboy job at a fancy restaurant. He actually ends up working for rival mob boss, Sal Maroni (David Zayas). The two take a liking to each other; like a mentor/protege relationship.

Cranston, a dirty cop, gets into a brawl with the masked madman. Unfortunately, Cranston gets handcuffed at the same time he grabs evidence from his opponent. He flies up into the air, just like the previous victim.

Renee and Barbara (Erin Richards), Gordon's fiancee, have a lover's quarrel. Renee is trying to ruin Gordon's relationship, but Barbara can see right through her lies. Barbara turns her head away when Renee tries to kiss her.

Because there is a cop-killer on the loose, Gordon and Bullock now see eye-to-eye. Cranston's evidence leads them to an ex-employee at a balloon factory. During the interrogation, the ex-employee reveals that when the balloons get high up, the helium pops, and the bodies will fall.

After bodies end up falling from the sky, Bullock and Gordon follow their lead  to Davis Lamont. From Gordon's psychology report, Lamont has had too much of the corruption of Gotham, The people are calling The Balloonman their hero.

Bullock and Gordon think they have the drop on Lamont. It turns out Lamont has a gun pointed at the back of Bullock's head. During their fight, Bullock has Lamont handcuffed to one of his own huge balloons.

Wanting to save the criminal, Gordon jumps and grabs onto his leg. Because his partner is in danger, Bullock ends up shooting the balloon. They both land on top of a van's roof, safe but in tremendous pain.

Just when Gordon is about to tell Barbara about the corruption he sees in his precinct, there is a knock at the door. Oswald is standing at the doorway, calling Jim his "old buddy."

Oswald is going to make life worse for Gordon in Gotham. Readers, what did you think of Balloon Man?
