As the Batman prequel, Gotham, continues on Fox. more characters from the DC Comics Universe are making their way to the TV screen. As he climbs up the ladder to the top, will Oswald Coppleput (Robin Taylor) lose Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) to the corruption and insanity of "Arkham?"

In the season premiere, Gordon (McKenzie) and Oswald (Taylor) crossed paths unexpectedly in the fallout with Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett-Smith). Ordered by mob boss, Carmine Falcone, Jim had to pull the trigger and put a bullet in Oswald's head. Instead, Jim faked Oswald's death and told him to run away.

From our last recap, the show ended with Oswald standing outside Jim's doorway. We previously saw Oswald killing his way, slitting throats, as he made his way back to Gotham. Is Gordon already the next target on Oswald's hit list?

In an interview with MTV, the Would Your Rather actor explains that the lives of both Gordon and Oswald are entwined, whether they like it or not.

The Good Wife actor explains his character's motivations, "Oswald is constantly looking to find people that he can use to help himself achieve the power that he wants and that he desires. James is there at that moment, and is available for Oswald to somewhat take advantage of."

In the comics, Oswald becomes known as the most feared mobster, nicknamed "The Penguin." The TV show presents Oswald's journey as he tries to move though the ranks from snitch to criminal kingpin. But, he needs help to rise to the top.

Taylor continues, "I do believe that Oswald truly respects him, and truly appreciates someone who is actually an honest, good person, because in Gotham city you don't really find that."
