'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Lying To The Public? Details On Her New Emotional Interview!

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is trying to look at the positive for the future after she was sentenced to 15 months in prison. As MStars News reported, the reality star and her husband Joe plead guilty to mortgage and bankruptcy fraud after lying to the government on their tax returns. Joe will serve 41 months after taking most of the blame for their illegal activities.

"I wish I could do everything differently," Teresa told US Weekly. "But then again, maybe not, because this is a life lesson that I need to learn and will learn, and will teach my children for the rest of my life, just as Judge [Esther] Salas told me she expected me to do."

In court, Teresa echoed those sentiments when giving her emotional statement at sentencing. "I speak as a wife, a mother, and a daughter," the RHONJ star said. "Today I am blessed but I am also humbled. I hear you and what you are saying, and it is time for me to wake up... I am more sorry than anyone will know."

However, the judge wasn't buying it and even made it a point to stress how much the reality stars deceived the government.

"I will say on the outset, I'm going to focus on what I didn't say to your husband that all of the false declarations, wire fraud and bank fraud is still your fault," the judge said, according to Us Weekly. "For a moment, I thought about probation until I read the government's report."

"What you did in the financial disclosure really sticks in my craw," she continued. "It's what the court has a problem with. It shows blatant disrespect for the court."

In her first post-sentencing interview Monday night, Teresa told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that she has yet to tell her youngest daughters about her sentence.
