Tonight is the night for American Horror Story: Freak Show and we couldn't be more excited about. After waiting months for the series to debut its new carnival inspired season, the day is finally here. Sarah Paulson made the rounds over the last few days to promote the show, appearing on both morning and Late Night talk shows to talk about the new season of the Ryan Murphy-created show.

In the new season Paulson plays two-headed conjoined twins Bette and Dot Tattler who have joined the freak show under the reign of Jessica Lange's character of Elsa Mars. Paulson talks the difficulty of playing the two-headed sisters during her appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman.

"Well it's a combination of visual effects," the star reveals of how they achieve the look. "I do some prosthetic work where I'm wearing a puppet that looks just like me. If it's not that I'm wearing a visual effects corset with a green rod sort of sticking out of my back so they know where to put my head."

With all the work that goes into creating the two-headed character, Dave jokingly states, "It's just to bad that they didn't get an actual actor with two heads. Nothing against you.'

"Its totally, fine no biggie," Paulson joke back.

During her appearance on Today, the actress lets a secret slip when she says that she can't watch the show when it airs at night and that she has to watch it during the daytime. She also gives a little taste of the theme of the new season.

"This season is a nice hybrid between season 2 and Coven," Paulson explains. "Coven had a lot of humor, a lot of campy humor, this has less of that but more of the sort of horror element of season 2."

Watch the rest of Paulson's interview in the clips above and make sure to tune into American Horror Story when it premiere tonight at 10 pm on FX.
