It doesn't look like Amanda Bynes's fresh start in New York City is going as well as she had planned. The star, who just moved to the Big Apple from California, has been exhibiting strange behavior since arriving on the East Coast, but new reports are claiming that the former Nickelodeon star took things a little too far when she got into a brawl at a nightclub earlier this week, clawing a female fan.

According to TMZ, a witness told them that Bynes had visited the Gilded Lily Nightclub in Manhattan Monday, Oct. 6, where she attacked a female fan who approached the She's the Man actress.

The star allegedly showed up to the nightclub by herself, wearing sunglasses and not talking to any other customer. But when fans started snapping Amanda's picture, all hell broke loose.

According to the site, a female fan approached Amanda, who started clawing at the woman, digging her nails into the woman's neck and arms.

But it looks like Amanda is getting off easy on this one, as the site is reporting that despite the fight the woman is still a fan and isn't going to press charges against the troubled former actress.

According to time.com, Bynes dropped out of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise, in San Diego, and plans to pursue a career in psychology and attend either New York University or Columbia University.

She took to Twitter to express the change:

"I'm transferring to NYU or Columbia from FIDM to study psychology, so you'll see me in New York if you live here, but I HATE stalkers!"
