As most of you may know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Many companies have united with the American Cancer Society to create special limited-edition products to support the cause and donate part of the proceeds to breast cancer research. Most of the products are pink, in honor of the breast cancer awareness pink ribbon.

Designer Stella McCartney has created a special hot-pink range of her Gemma Relaxing lingerie range in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. According to WWD, a percentage of profits from sales (priced $40 to $80) will benefit the Linda McCartney Centre in Liverpool, England, specifically to fund a new mammography suite at the center, which was established in 2000, two years after Linda McCartney, Stella's mother, succumbed to the disease.

"There are so many women affected by this terrible disease and even more people affected by the loss of the incredible women in their lives," said McCartney. "There are preventive ways that can help; having knowledge of your body, maintenance and upkeep. Raising awareness on breast cancer is critical ... I wanted to remind women that when they wear this set, the first thing they put on in the morning, to keep on top of their health and visit their doctor regularly."
