Hollywood Divas star, Countess Vaughn, can relate to the thousands out there who are trying to make it in the world of acting, as she gets back into the game herself.

“May the best woman win,” Countess said during an interview with Sister 2 Sister. “I came from a singing background. So, that easily could have been said about me: ‘She’s not an actress. She’s a singer.’ That’s why I never talk about anybody about their beginning. I know firsthand what it’s like and to be a newbie.”

Though Vaughn has had her share of acting roles in shows such as Moesha, and The Parkers most people know who she is, but can't say the same for her co-star, Lisa Wu, who claims that she has some acting under her belt. Everyone probably remembers Wu from the Bravo TV show, Real Housewives of Atlanta.

During the TV One new show Wednesday night Wu will have some test and trials as she gets to know accomplished and well-known stars, including Countess, Golden Brooks, Paula Jai Parker and Elise Neal.

According to Countess, Lisa will be left out of the circle with the show premieres. She claims that there will be some division between the ladies because of their titles.

“Let’s go into this situation with an open heart and an open mind. We all have our own way of getting in this industry. We don’t all have the same story. Let’s just not close our thoughts to the way she’s approaching this…It’s always good not to judge a book by its cover.”

Despite some of the ladies issues with one another, Countess says that she got along with everyone for the most part.

“I get along with everybody. The thing is: I don’t allow anyone to paint a picture for me and do that background stuff. I like to let you show me what you’re about and then I make the decision for myself. That’s the rule on standby. Someone can easily have a bad day. I like to paint the picture myself. I don’t need no sidebar conversation,” the Hollywood Diva said. “I like to talk to the main person and draw from that and then on top of that, I just know, we’re all human beings. We’re going to have our good days and we’re going to have our bad days.”

Get ready because Hollywood Divas premieres Wednesday on TV One at 10 pm.
