Los Angeles natives have been insisting they deserve an NFL team ever since their's were sent packing, becoming the Oakland Raiders. Now more than ever, with the NFL looking in to expansion teams or relocating teams, L.A. and Hollywood legend Louis Gossett Jr are insisting they "need" an L.A. football franchise. Rumours are suggesting Derek Carr and his Raiders could end up in L.A., but it's more likely for them to be sent to London. How can the NFL resolve this matter, and can they please everyone?
Of course the NFL could create two new teams, one for L.A., and one for London, and that would please everyone, including the hardcore Oakland fanbase. However, that would involve more work, and possibly cost a lot of money in the process, so it's easy to see why the NFL would rather relocate or create only one team.
Hollywood legend Gossett has insisted L.A. needs their team back. The star insisted that L.A. is haunted by their loss of the team, and the only way to fix that is to bring them back. However, with the huge success of the London NFL games, it's looking all the more likely that the UK could get their very own football team.
Will Carr and co. be on the move, or will the NFL make a bold move, creating two brand new teams, changing the NFL as we know it forever? Time will tell, but after the upcoming London games, the NFL may start to make, and announce, their decisions. It's unlikely to be smiles all around.
