Tina said that she lost some of her self-esteem, Tina told the audience: “At 58 my world just exploded and I knew I had to get a divorce. That’s a very difficult thing; it does something to your whole self-esteem because I had been married for 33 years and didn’t know anything else.”

Realizing that she had to make a change for herself Tina told her two daughters Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, “’You know what? You can call me and I’ll be there if it’s really something important but otherwise, I’m taking care of Tina.’ This was my selfish mode. Before I knew it, I started to like me again.”

Tina, who is now 59, is considering to step foot into the dating world. She says it is “the scariest thing in the world.” But adds, “It was so good for my self-esteem for somebody to say you look nice; to give me a flower; to take me out.”

Tina confessed that it hurt a little bit to know that her ex-husband was getting married again although she was over him. Knowles said, “it still hurt a little bit; it’s a blow to the ego.”

Tina, claims that re-establishing a bond with her old friend, Richard Lawson the very next day was a sweet intervention.

“Talk about God being right on time. Could He have been anymore on time? It’s been now a year and 5 months and I’m in a committed, wonderful relationship; with that handsome man [Richard],” Tina said. “I am the happiest I’ve been in a long, long time.”

Wrapping up the session, Tina revealed why Destiny’s Child song Survivor meant so much to her.

“That’s my favorite song; that’s been the story of my life,” Tina claims. “I had to fight to survive.
