This story just get's better and better.

It seems as though Jennings had a lot of amazing things to sell, not just Nelson's braids.

An Ariel Cyclone motorcycle owned by Buddy Holly was sold for a reported $450,000. Another gift that was given to Jennings by a member of Holly's band after his death in 1959. "I swung my leg over it, stomped on the kickstarter, and it burst into roaring life," Jennings stated in his Waylon: An Autobiography, "First kick. It was midnight, and it sounded twice as loud bouncing off the walls of that hotel room. I knew Buddy wouldn't mind."

Jennings died of a cocaine addiction at the age of 64 with complication of diabetes as well. His health was headlined as it was deteriorating years before his death as he struggled with addiction and a habit of smoking six packs of cigarettes daily. He underwent a heart bypass surgery, however by the 2000 his diabetes was making him worse.

Although his talent for country music does not go unnoticed. In the 70's he joined the Outlaw Movement and released albums such as, Lonesome, On'ry and Mean and Honky Tonk Heroes.

The singer's music also appeared in the TV series such as The Dukes of Hazard composing the show's theme song.
