During New York Comic Con 2014, Archie Comics has unveiled their upcoming crossover event starring two popular videogame characters. In an epic comic book event, Mega Man and Sonic The Hedgehog will team-up in a historic storyline entitled, Worlds Unite.

Archie Comics announced on their official website announced their sequel to World's Collide. Back in 2013, Sonic and Mega Man took part in the twelve-part Worlds Collide, which was the biggest crossover event Archie ever had. After much fanfare, this is why Archie has decided to do it again.

In an interview with Polygon, executive director of editorial Paul Kaminsk teases the stakes are much bigger than the original crossover. The Worlds Unite storyline will be written by Ian Flynn  and artist Patrick "SPAZ" Spaziante will be illustrating the covers.

Kaminsk explains why readers will be interested seeing these two characters in the same panel together, "When the worlds of Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man collided in the pages of Archie Action comics, readers, fans and retailers made it the biggest crossover event in Archie Action history. That historic crossover storyline changed the comic book worlds of Sega and Capcom's iconic video game characters forever, but now an even bigger event is on the horizon."

As we previously mentioned, we are very excited with the pop culture news that is coming out from the East Coast convention. Don't worry if you don't have a ticket, because you can follow MStars and our Twitter feed as we take snapshots from the main floor.
