Amanda Bynes has been on a rampage lately ever since arriving in New York, but she is now getting the help she desperately needs after flying back to Los Angeles.

After arriving in L.A., the actress was taken to Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena, California where she was put on a psychiatric hold for 72 hours, according to Us Weekly.

In a shocking report on TMZ, it was Sam Lutfi, Britney Spears' former confidante who her parents tried to get out of her life, who helped Amanda's parents get her to LA for treatment.

The Hairspray actress has had an eventful week where she got caught shoplifting at Barneys in NYC and then culminated with her posting to Twitter that her father sexually abused her.

"My dad was verbally and physically abuse to me as a child," she wrote. "He called me ugly as a child and then asked me if I wanted to have sex with him and I did not know how to respond and I said no and then I was forced to live with my dad which was a total nightmare."

However, Amanda didn't stop there with her accusations, "My dad fondled himself in front of me so many times that I started recording him on my phone in hopes of catching him saying or doing something inappropriate around me so I could get him arrested & put in jail for the rest of his perverted life."

The actress' mother, Lynn, responded in a statement to E! News defending her husband and saying Amanda needs help.

"I am heartbroken today for my husband of 47 years," she said. "Rick has been the best father and husband a family can ask for. He has never abused Amanda or our other children physically or sexually. These accusations are absolutely horrible and could not be further from the truth! These allegations stem from Amanda's mental state at the moment. They have no basis in reality. It saddens me beyond belief that my husband's character could be slandered in such a way."

Hopefully, Amanda will get the help she needs during this tough time.
