Floyd Mayweather Jr: Money Mayweather's 'The Money Team' To Ditch Boxing For MMA & UFC Venture?

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has insisted that he will retire after one or two more fights in 2015, and many are starting to wonder what he will do once he no longer has boxing to keep him occupied. He has now revealed he has an interest in the MMA business, and many are wondering how he could venture into that or the UFC. The world's best boxer has looked into extending his sports management team, and he's suggested that he would like to add MMA fighters to his roster. Is this a smart move? They don't call him 'Money Mayweather' for no reason.

Floyd's 'The Money Team' can run boxing events, but it seems mixed martial arts is soon to be added to the list. Mayweather explained: "We believe in treating our boxers and our MMA fighters fair. I want a lot of MMA fighters to get in touch with you because Mayweather Promotions, I look forward to putting on my first MMA show also and having me some MMA champions. Like I said before, Floyd Mayweather loves to think outside the box. We're not just one-dimensional. We're very versatile and we have an open mind."

Mayweather, 37, believes MMA fighters should, and could earn more money. He continued: "When I get into the MMA game, I want them to make more money than they're making because from what I hear, they're not being treated fair. Once again, I don't have nothing to say about nobody. I'm only talking about what I'm here to do. I'm here to treat fighters fair, I'm here to treat MMA fighters fair and I feel that the talent should win."

Mayweather earns more than $30 million per fight, but it seems like he believes he, and his MMA fighters, could be earning a lot more.
