Even though the new comic book series Wytches, created by industry greats Scott Snyder and Jock debuted just this month (Oct. 2014) it's already being courted around Hollywood for a film adaptation. Plus, none other than superstar actor and big-time producer Brad Pitt is the one who's developing the project, which comes from Image Comics. Pitt's studio Plan B and New Regency are helming the adaptation, which is sure to excite comic book fans, especially those that enjoy horror comics!

Deadline broke this news, explaining that Wytches is just one of the latest supernatural and genre projects that Plan B has decided to take on after the overwhelming success of the historic drama 12 Years a Slave. Stepping back into the realm of World War Z, which was also a huge success for the production company partners, Wytches along with Black Hole and 3 Videotapes will round out the new direction of the studios.

What do you think of this movie news? Do you think Pitt will have a role in the upcoming project? Let us know in the comments section below!

Here is the official synopsis of the Wytches comic book series (via Image Comics' official website):

Across the globe, century after century, men and women were burned, drowned, hanged, tortured, imprisoned, persecuted, and murdered for witchcraft. None of them were witches. They died protecting a terrible and hidden truth: witches, real witches, are out there. They are ancient, elusive, and deadly creatures that are rarely seen and even more rarely survived.
