The Big Bang Theory Season 8 Spoilers: Howard's Cousin Causes More Tension with Stuart

One of the weirdest but admittedly humorous parts of Season 8 of The Big Bang Theory thus far has been the tension between Howard and Stuart after the latter moved into the former's mother's house. He began taking care of her and seems to have usurped Howard's place as the favorite son. And a new character on the show will only make things worse.

TVLine reports exclusively that CBS' hit sitcom will introduce Howard's cousin, whom fans have never seen, when she attends a party with Stuart. Up-and-coming actress Kara Luiz will portray the unnamed cousin. The actress has starred on Amazon's Betas and the MTV prank show Jerks with Cameras.

Luiz will appear in this season's seventh episode after The Big Bang Theory returns to Thursday nights on October 30.

Here's what we had to say about the Stuart and Howard storyline in the show's latest episode, "The Hook Up Reverberation." The guys were debating investing in Stuart's comic book store, and Howard didn't get very far with his wife.

"Bernadette shut down Howard like LeBron James swatting a layup at the basket. Howard told what seemed to be a heartfelt story about his father, but Bernadette immediately called him out for making up a fake story in a humorous moment.

But none of it mattered anyway, as it turns out Howard's mother had already given Stuart the money he needed to rebuild his store. The interaction between Howard, Stuart and Mrs. Wolowitz continues to be both creepy and hilarious depending on the episode, but this one veered toward funny."
