Thomas Eric Duncan was the first U.S. death from the Ebola virus and his family claims he died because of a lack of treatment by the hospital caretakers.

According to WGNtv, Duncan's family members joined the Rev. Jesse Jackson at his Rainbow Push headquarters to protest against the treatment Duncan received before he died last week.

They claim that the treatment Duncan received was 'incompetent' and 'racially motivated.'

Duncan died from Ebola last week, but his mom and nephew spoke out at Rainbow Push's weekly gathering over the weekend to ask questions as they wanted some answers about his care.

Duncan's family asked why the sick man wasn't moved to Emory University Hospital, where Dr. Kent Brantly and Dr. Nancy Writebol received treatment that saved their lives for Ebola.

Duncan's nephew is now requesting all of his uncle's medical records so that he can have other doctors, and contagious disease experts review them.

Doctors at Texas Presbyterian Hospital, that treated Duncan claim that their staff was 'well-equipped' to take on his Ebola case, but now we have learned that a nurse treating Duncan has now contracted Ebola.
